5. Patong Beach, Phuket
Patong beach is one of the largest beach on the island of Phuket, and is also the one of country’s most popular beaches. With a far-wide coastline, crystal-soft white sand, warm water, plenty of hotel accommodations and shopping, it’s simply impossible to get tired of this place. The vibrant nightlife (nightclub and disco) attracts a huge crowd nightly. Thus, those looking for peace and quiet places during the night might want to head elsewhere.

4. Koh Lipe, Thailand

Lipe island was first discovered by Chao Ley (or Sea Gypsies) who was traveling from one island to another in search of the best fishing area in order to feed their family tribes. The Chao Ley  finally found a permanent home on Koh Lipe.

Koh Lipe has only three main beaches, which are the Sunset Beach, Sunrise Beach and Pattaya Beach. There are variety of accommodation available, ranging from grass huts to air-conditioned bungalows which can be found along the coastline. It is even possible to walk around the entire island in little over an hour!

3. Kata Beach, Phuket

Kata Beach is the quieter, relaxed and calm beach in Southern Phuket. Kata has many things that makes Phuket so famous – the palm trees, warm water and beautiful scenery. However there are no high rise hotels or shopping malls in sight. The waves at this beach can be intense during the low season, thus making it a great place to do some surfing!

2. Phra Nang Beach

This lovely beach was recently voted as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world! It has jaw-dropping beautiful scenery and is an excellent swimming beach for tourists. Popular activities including Thai massage along the coastline, delicious sea-food barbeque meals and cliff jumping! (into the water of course)

Phra Nang is no doubt one of the most spectacular beaches in Thailand, if not southeast Asia. This is due to thankfully lacks all the unpleasant activities that could spoil the beach: such as pollution, traffic, noise, jet-skis and lager louts.

To get to Phra Nang from Ao Nang, just get on a longtail boat. The journey takes 20 minutes and costs 80 baht per head.

 1. Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi Ley

Undoubtedly the most epic beautiful looking beach in Thailand, its scenery of white soft sand and jade clear water would take your breath away at first sight. The beach is nestled in a small bay and surrounded by many high limestone cliffs. Maya Bay can be visited by boat only during the day (no night trip),  because there are no accommodations on the Island. Huge number of people visits this beach heaven during the high season, but no worry about the crowd as the scenery was just too beautiful to think of anything else!
